Frequently Asked Questions |
 |
| Q. | What do the courses cost? |
| A. |
The price of the class is $1095. Upon registration, you will be instructed to print out a copy of the contract and to mail it to us along with a $100 deposit. This deposit is required to reserve a space. The remaining balance is to be paid at the start of the first class session. The $100.00 deposit is completely refundable if, for any reason, a student wishes to suspend his or her enrollment prior to the class. Notice of suspension must be given one week prior to the first class. After this point the deposit is no longer refundable. Once the course has begun, no portion of the class fee is refundable if, for any reason, the student is unable to complete the course. If a student wishes to repeat the course, he or she may do so at anytime for a materials fee of $75.00. |
| Q. | When do the classes meet? |
| A. | The course will consist of nine, 4 hour class sessions. In addition to the class time, there will be a number of additional help sessions scheduled. |
| Q. | Why should I take Steven Klein's course? |
| A. |
| Commitment |
| Before you pay me a penny, I'll spend two hours talking to you about the test, the way my class is structured, why my class is structured that way, and how the law school admission process works. You can ask me any questions you want. If two hours isn't enough, we'll just keep talking. |
| Experience |
| Since 1984, I've personally taught 4500 people how to study for the LSAT. I've taught all of the classes for these people. I've not only worked with students up to the day before the test, but I've also taken every opportunity to talk to my students after the test to learn what worked for them. I never stop trying to improve as a teacher. I honestly think my experience cannot be matched. |
| Real Class Time |
| I offer 36 hours of class time; that's really 36 hours of class time. I'll never sit in front of you with a stopwatch while you're taking a test and call that class time. I spend every hour in class teaching. There are fully proctored exams on the weekends that are in addition to class time. |
| Class Size |
| It is true that I have an average of 30 people in my classes at a time, but the 36 hours of class time aren't the only opportunity you will have to get help. We have help sessions once a week and individual tutoring is available. This is all included in the price of the class. |
| My Tutors |
| They are outstanding. All of my tutors are former students who have done extremely well on the LSAT. I not only personally train them before they are ever allowed to work with students, I also pay them to retake the course. |
| Materials |
| I use only real LSATs that have been administered over the past three years. If you can study the real tests, why would you want to study anything else? Enough said. |
| Tapes and Gimmicks |
| I don't use them. The LSAT is simple in design, and if something is simple, you keep it that way. I will teach you an approach that works. |
| Diagnostic Tests |
| Each week you will be assigned an actual LSAT to complete before the next class session. Almost every weekend there will be an opportunity to take this test under test-taking conditions. By the end of the course, you will have taken eight diagnostic exams. |
| Price |
| I take a lot of pride that I have been able to keep it reasonable. I know that $1095 is a lot, but if you compare prices, you will see that I am able to save you money. And here is the best part - sometimes when you pay less, you get less, but this time you are going to get more. |
| Admissions |
| We don't stop helping you when the test is over. Part of what you pay for is help with the admissions process. In class we will discuss the timeline of the application process and how it works. We will also meet with you, one-on-one, for assistance with your applications, including the personal statement. |
| Commitment again |
| I teach people how to take the LSAT, and it is all I do for a living. The Steven Klein Company is my company, not a franchise. When an LSAT is approaching, I work sixty hours a week, and those sixty hours are focused on my students. My job is teaching. And I think I do it better than anyone. |
